Monthly deep clean

- Clean and disinfect WC floor and walls around toilet/washbasin.

-> Warm water and a capful of all-purpose cleaner works well. For grout, an old toothbrush with a baking soda paste can work wonders.

- Clean kitchen sink drain.

-> Pour a cup of baking soda down the drain, followed by a cup of white vinegar. Let it fizz 15-30 minutes, then flush with hot water.

- Dust radiators thoroughly.

-> Use a long-handled brush or a vacuum with a narrow attachment to remove dust between the fins. Improves heating efficiency and air quality.

- Check for minor scuffs on hardwood floors.

-> For light scratches on finished wood, rub a walnut kernel over the scratch. Test in an inconspicuous spot first.

Ensure good ventilation, especially when cleaning drains. Keep water away from electrical outlets near radiators.
Why: A bit more effort each month keeps things running smoothly and prevents minor issues from becoming bigger headaches.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers before you generate your plan.

What details should I include in my home description?

Include practical details like floor types, appliances, room types, building age, and your city. The more specific your home setup, the more useful and realistic your maintenance plan will be.

Is my input stored?

No. Your input is used only to generate your plan. Still, please do not include sensitive information such as names, exact addresses, phone numbers, or account details.

Which language will Flatkeep use?

Flatkeep replies in the language you write in. If you prefer a different language, add a note like "reply in Spanish" to your description.

What do I get after download?

You receive a downloadable .ics calendar file with recurring maintenance tasks, notes, and tips. It imports into Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, and Outlook.

Is this paid or a subscription?

No subscription. Downloads are free. If you want to support Flatkeep, you can optionally make a one-time 1€ payment via Stripe.

Can I edit or adjust the calendar myself?

Yes. After importing the .ics file into your calendar app, you can edit entries, add your own notes, change dates, and adjust recurring events based on your needs and what you learn over time.

Can I revisit an existing calendar I already made?

Unfortunately, no. Because Flatkeep does not store your input or generated plans, we cannot retrieve or recreate a previously generated calendar.
